My name is Marc Pompl, and my passion is oil painting. Since 2014, I have been dedicated to creating realistic works that include landscapes, seascapes, starry skies, portraits, and nudes. I am particularly fascinated by the interplay of light and color—how a ray of sunlight makes a wave glow or how the night sky takes on an almost tangible depth.
My painting technique is based on classical layering methods: from the first underpainting to the finest details, each piece is created with patience and dedication. I draw inspiration from great masters like Vermeer, Peder Mork Mønsted, Albert Bierstadt, Barend Cornelis Koekkoek, and Andrew Tischler, translating their timeless aesthetics into my own visual language.
For me, art is more than just a visual experience—it tells stories, evokes emotions, and creates unique atmospheres. My goal is to paint artworks that resonate with people, enrich spaces with ambiance, and bring lasting joy.
